Kim Kardashian Blames 'Teen Mom' For Memphis Pregnancy Epidemic, Says It's ‘Disturbing’

  

Kim Kardashian is blaming MTV's popular Teen Mom reality television show for the teen pregnancy epidemic that has plagued a high school in Memphis, Tennessee.

The socialite took to Twitter on Wednesday and called the program “disturbing” and warned followers that teen pregnany should not be considered “trendy”.

"Does the show Teen Mom disturb anyone else?,” she wrote. “Can't get this Memphis story out of my head. This should NOT be
trendy!"

A teen pregnancy epidemic has plagued Frayser High School where ninety students are currently pregnant or have already had a baby this year, according to a report from WMC-TV 5 in Memphis.

According to Kim, the show that has turned Amber Portwood into a celebrity, encourages such behavior.

"I just couldn’t believe this and I find it so sad and disturbing," Kim wrote.

"It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!"

"When I think back to when I was 16, there is no way I would even have considered having a baby. That thought wouldn’t even have entered my head. Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make and while I’m not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn’t be seen as the trendy thing to do.

Kim even offered some sound advice for young teens who are sexually active and considering having children.

"Girls, please, think very carefully before you make these kind of decisions," Kim writes.

"Talk to your family, friends, teachers, and most of all, be careful."

Despite Kim’s stance, the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy suggest Teen Momdoes the opposite, with 82-percent of teens saying the show helped them understand the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood  and why they should avoid it.

Aggravated Riot Charges Against Yo Gotti Dismissed

  

Rapper Yo Gotti has been cleared of aggravated riot charges after a brawl outside of a nightclub in South East Memphis in November of 2010.

Police issued arrest warrants for eight men connected with the fight, in which an argument escalated into gunplay, resulting in six people being shot.

Yo Gotti, born Mario Mims, appeared at the Criminal Justice Center earlier today (January 19th), where a judge dismissed the charges against the popular rapper.

Police originally claimed that an argument between Yo Gotti and a local rapper named OG Boo Dirty sparked the shooting.

While the charges against Yo Gotti where dismissed, OG Boo Dirty, born Lance N. Taylor, was charged with Inciting to Riot and Aggravated Riot.

"For them to put it out there and run with it, of course it's a little damaging but like I said, I knew it was all going to come to this," Yo Gotti told Memphis' Fox 13.

OG Boo Dirty is charged in serious crimes in other criminal cases as well.

He currently faces two attempted murder charges stemming from two separate incidents in September and one count of aggravated arson for targeting the victims of those crimes.

Philadelphia abortionist, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, his wife and eight other suspects are now under arrest for eight counts of murder for killing a patient during a botched abortion and seven children that were born alive then cut with scissors.

After a grand jury investigation, authorities inspected the clinic referred to as a filthy “house of horrors” and found bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses.

District Attorney Seth Williams said, “There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that he kept for no medical purpose.”

The 69-year-old doctor primarily treated poor and immigrant women and has been operating for over 30 years making millions of dollars.

His illegal late-term abortion tactics include inducing labor after six to eight months of pregnancy, then cutting into the back of the living baby with scissors ripping the spinal cord.

The clinic has been shut down and Gosnell's medical license has been suspended.

He is also the target of a federal grand jury investigation for allegedly prescribing prescription drugs and has been named in 10 malpractice suits. Investigators also found $240,000 in cash after searching the doctor's home.

Nicki Minaj Covers ‘V’ Magazine

The newest member of the fashion police, Nicki Minaj, covers the upcoming Spring issue of V magazine, and the “Fly” rapper opted for single-toned hair (as opposed sporting one of her usual rainbow colored wigs), as well as an all-black ensemble and hot pink lipstick for the shoot. Should we expect Polaroid shots (à la Gaga’s 2010 V issue) for the spread to go along with the mag’s recounting of the Harakuju Barbie’s rise to fame? We’ll have to see when the “Moment 4 Life” artist hits newsstands this week.
