Afghan Patterns

Afghans are usually very bright and whimsical. They can come in any pattern. The most common pattern for an afghan is the octagon with surrounding color splashes. Afghans can come in stripes, for that is what is most commonly used for blankets. It can also come in random color variations of the octagon, being striped to the outside of the blanket. Afghans are usually hand-made of yarn, and can therefore come in any color.
Some companies in the US will even allow you to customize your own afghan and go with it. Afghans also have a symbolic and cultural purpose. They can be used as war rugs. If they are used in such a manner, they are given the name of the tribe that created them, or event the region in which they are located.
This is not what the rugs are used for in the United States though. They are used as décor and are very valuable. Relating to Persian rugs, the afghan can sell for a pretty penny, often supplying companies with a lot of money for the single purchase of a rug. The patterns of the afghans are mostly symmetrical.
They are geometrical and always have some sort of shape on them They have an inner shape, usually an octagon, that can be surrounded by a border around the outside of the carpet or the octagon can be surrounded by flowers and intricate vine designs. But they are always colorful.
The shapes can be red, cream, yellow, green, pure white or whatever color is needed to make the design look good. When thinking of an afghan design, one can picture the random geometric patterns that they colored when they were a kid and put it into a beautifully designed piece of fabric. That is what an afghan is. It is a geometric combination of color and wonder and imagination all thrown into the same bowl.
If you don’t find the afghan pattern that you want so you can make a design you can ask someone to customize it for you. There are some wonderfully skilled people out there in this field. You will have to pay extra for them to either make you the pattern or for them to make the afghan for you. Yet if you really want something in particular this can be the best way to go.

Charlie Sheen receiving treatment at home

Charlie Sheen has put together a team of professionals to help him overcome his troubles at home rather than entering rehab.

The actor was recently hospitalised following a 36-hour alcohol and drug binge at his Los Angeles home and although it had been reported he checked himself in to a treatment facility over the weekend, his manager revealed Charlie, 45, has instead put together his own group of people to assist him as he tries to recover.

Mark Burg, who is also a producer on Charlie's show 'Two and a Half Men', said: "Charlie has put together a team that he trusts to help get him sober once and for all.

"The show will work around Charlie's sobriety schedule. Everybody hopes his recovery is quick and new episodes are back on the air as soon as possible."

While Charlie's team back his decision to stay at home, the actor's ex-wife Denise Richards - with whom he has two daughters, Lola, six, and Sam, five - is among those trying to convince him to seek treatment at a rehabilitation centre but he has refused.

A source told RadarOnline: "Denise went over to Charlie's house on Sunday (30.01.11) to try and talk him into entering a treatment facility, but Charlie refused.

"Charlie doesn't think he needs help, he is still up until all hours of the night and is refusing to get it at an outside facility, all while those close to him - including his dad Martin, family, friends and his employers CBS - work to convince him he needs to enter a facility".

Charlie has three other children, 26-year-old Cassandra Jade Estevez with former girlfriend Paula Profit and 22-month old twin boys Bob and Max with estranged spouse Brooke Mueller.

Tracy Morgan Kept Kidney Transplant A Secret From His Family, Reveals Brother & Mother

Tracy Morgan needed a kidney to undergo life-saving surgery last month, he turned to his ex-girlfriend for help, but according to the star's brother and mother, he kept his operation a secret from his family.

James Morgan has spoken out about his sibling's controversial procedure, and the shocking way he found out about the news.

"I've been with him at his home, and he didn't let me know anything," he said, when asked if Tracy ever spoke to him about his need for a new kidney.

"It was his choice, but he could have got me checked to see if I was compatible. If he would have asked, of course I would have done it. He's my brother.

"Maybe he didn't want to put me through the pain. I don't know what his thinking was," added James, who like his brother also suffers from diabetes.

James said that he was alerted to the surgery after the fact -- and in a rather unconventional way.

"I just found out on the Internet last month that he had the operation. I really didn't believe it. I thought it was just a stunt or something. I thought maybe that's a misprint.

"But he called my mother and confirmed it."

Tracy's mom, Alicia Warden she was "shocked" to learn of her son's procedure. "He didn't tell me about anything," she said in an exclusive interview. "We never discussed it. He didn't bring it up to me. Someone came and told me they saw it on the Internet, so I was just as shocked."

When asked if she understood his reasons for not alerting the family about it, she said: "I don't know what the reasons are. I really don't know."

Tracy -- who is one of five children and is now living a sober life after a long battle with addictions -- had the transplant in December and shocked fans and media by admitting just last week it was his ex, Tanisha Hall, who gave him one of her kidneys, despite the fact he left her for another woman.

And it seems it wasn't just his operation that he kept secret from his family -- his mother also knew nothing about his ex-girlfriend!

Meanwhile, James says he's grateful that Tanisha went so far in order to save Tracy's life and that he is still pleasantly surprised by such an act of devotion.

"I didn't know that she had done that. It's the first I'm hearing about it," he said. "It's really surprising.

"But that was her choice as well. It was not like he put a gun to her head and said 'you've got to give me a kidney'...obviously they came to an understanding.

"God bless her, that's all I can say about that. She must really have a genuine love for him, even though they're not together anymore."

James admits that he doesn't talk to his younger brother every day and hopes the reason he kept it from the family was so as not to worry them.

"We don't talk a lot as I have my own family. But I go on tour with him now and then. We know Tracy's personality, so we just know how he does things. So we wait for him to get in touch.

"If it's something life threatening to where he's going to die, then I'm pretty sure (he would tell us). But if he knew that the procedure was going to go smoothly, that's the reason why he didn't want to worry us."

When asked about reports that Tracy has paid Tanisha's medical bills, James quipped: "I would hope so... that's the least you can do!"

Juelz Santana Arrested & Being Held On $125-Thousand Bond

Juelz Santana's New Jersey recording studio was raided after a ten month long investigation surrounding Skull Gang member MC Hynief.

During the raid, police found several guns and other paraphernalia, resulting in the arrest of Hynief.

Now police have hit the Dipset lietenant, whose real name is Laron James, with multiple drugs and weapons charges as he was arrested today following a 10-month investigation.

The 28-year-old Dipset MC was charged on Wednesday with possession of a firearm and a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a handgun without having a permit, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

Police are also saying that Juelz is a member of the Blood street gang... (Wow, talk about using your raps against you.)

Santana is being held at the Bergen County jail in Hackensack, NJ on $125-thousand bond.

Terence Howard's Wife Files For Divorce

Terrence Howard's wife, Michelle Howard has filed for divorce from her actor hubby, after just one year of marriage In court documents of Michelle states that they were married on January 20, 2010, and separated on January 27, 2011. The couple have no children together.

Michelle is seeking spousal support, and cites the California standard of ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split.

She’s requesting Terrence pay her legal fees.

Michelle was Terrence’s second wife – but his third marriage.

The 41-year-old star previously married, then divorced, then married Lori McCommas, in 1989 and then in 2005, and they have three children together
