Nick Cannon Reveals Chelsea Handler Fight Was Over Her Comments on Mariah Carey

When Nick Cannon and Chelsea Handler had a much publicized Twitter feud back in October, many thought it was because of a wisecrack Handler took at the expectant father. But to hear Cannon tell the story, it all started with comments the comedian made about his wife, Mariah Carey.

When Handler tweeted the joke, "I just heard Nick Cannon is starting a comedy tour. Who's going to do the comedy?" it resulted in an onslaught of replies from Nick Cannon, including a rather controversial tweet calling Handler, Eminem and Howard Stern "ugly white trash."

The two eventually cleared the air and spoke in person when Handler called into Cannon's radio show. Speaking this morning to John Katsilometes on the radio show 'Kats With the Dish,' Cannon revealed a few more details about the spat.
"For a while ... she was constantly on her show, kind of picking on me and my wife. You can say what you want about me, but when you start talking about my wife, I get a little sensitive," he admitted. "Hey, that's my family, you know? The protective lion comes out." Cannon went on to reveal he might have gone a bit too far in his response: "I said some things that I don't really regret, but that were a little harsh, and we went back-and-forth."

In happier news, Cannon and Mariah Carey have recently announced they are expecting one boy and one girl in their twin bundle, but they haven't decided names yet.

"We believe we have them, but you never know until you actually name them," Cannon told Katsilometes. "I have vetoed a few names, but don't know until you actually see them in person. Maybe we'll come up with something new. We'll know on the day they are born."

Oprah Fired Me For Talking About Jesus

In addition to being a tenured professor at Mississippi Valley State, Oprah Winfrey’s first cousin, Jo Baldwin, is also an ordained minister who preaches at two churches every Sunday.
Oprah knew that Ms. Baldwin was a deeply religious woman when she hired her to be her speechwriter shortly after the enormously popular Oprah Winfrey Show debuted. Later she promoted Baldwin to VP of her company Harpo Inc, according to Gawker.com.
“When I received my PhD in 1985 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Oprah asked me where I was going to work,” said Jo Baldwin in the summer of 2010. “I said I would be applying for a position at Ebony magazine as a copy editor. Oprah said she did not like Linda Johnson Rice [owner of Ebony] and I should come to work for her instead. So I did.”
“I was to work for her for three years, but she fired me without notice after two years… I heard from someone later that she got rid of me because she got tired of me talking about Jesus all the time… Oprah preferred the teachings of Shirley MacLaine’s books, such as Dancing in the Light and Out on a Limb, which Oprah made me read but I didn’t think much of

10-Year-Old Girl Calls Out Lil Wayne For Degrading Black Women

The Urban Daily today posted a video of a 10-year-old girl using the name Watoto From The Nile, calling out Lil’ Wayne for promoting drug use, degrading women and bragging about his prison stints, in a rap called ‘Open Letter’ which she and her father released online.
Watoto calls out the rapper for the way he refers to women, saying, “My daddy says that I’m a queen, but you be calling women other things. I hear you’ve got a little girl. Don’t you think the same of her?”
She also takes him to task for promoting drugs and crime, saying, “And people say ‘Say No To Drugs,’ but tell me who should I trust? You or them? Are you promoting something? It’s time our people stop the fronting.”
Watoto raps about her idols, people such as India.Arie, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu, and notes that ‘we are descended from royalty.’ The message about promoting positivity and inspiration in the community is heard loud and clear, and the fact that it is coming from a 10-year-old girl makes it even more amazing.
In a society where there is a lot of talk about negative role models and rising gang crime, this girl and her open letter definitely made me smile. Combine that with the video of the 5-year-old girl last week, who was talking aboutrefusing to get married until she had a career, and perhaps our society isn’t as ‘corrupted’ as some people think. Even though a lot of the images in the media, and a lot of the girls who get attention, are sadly getting attention for the wrong reasons, not everyone is fooled by it, and some young women are still determined to make people see them as something more than a jumpoff or a video vixen. Let’s hope Lil’ Wayne and others take note of Watoto.

Opening Statements Delayed In Trial Of Dr. Conrad Murray

Opening statements have been pushed back in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray who's charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson.
Jury selection will begin this month as planned, but opening statements have been postponed until May.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor announced Wednesday that opening statements will begin May 9 after meeting in closed session with Murray, his attorneys and prosecutors.
A Houston-based cardiologist -- gave the King Of Pop a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol, which is normally administered only in hospital settings.
Murray has pleaded not guilty and maintains he did nothing wrong.
Murray consented to the postponement after his attorneys and prosecutors said they could be ready for his involuntary manslaughter trial by then, a transcript of the closed session meeting shows.
"It is only acceptable to me if this is not strung along over a long period of time," Murray told the judge, according to the transcript. "I don't want to lose my constitutional right to speedy trial."
Conrad -- Jackson's live-in physician at the time of his death -- has been seeking a speedy trial because of financial difficulties. He told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor he understood the delay was necessary to allow both sides to better prepare for the trial, which could last up to two months.
Murray told the judge he would agree to the delay if the screening of prospective jurors begins as scheduled on March 24.
The judge agreed, saying he did not want to lose a jury pool and that a month-long delay might allow potential jurors to re-arrange their schedules for what could be a lengthy trial.
Pastor scheduled a status hearing for March 9.
Jackson died June 25, 2009 of cardiac arrest; he was 50.

Charlie Sheen Passes Fourth Drug Test in Four Days, Challenges Brooke Mueller to Do Same

Hours after Charlie Sheen's kids were taken by police Tuesday night, the actor has passed another drug test.
The star took his fourth drug test in four days, and the site has video proving he passed. The test turned up negative results for the presence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates and methamphetamine.

Sheen allegedly recently threatened estranged wife Brooke Mueller, saying, "I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom." The threat prompted Mueller's lawyer to get a temporary restraining order against Sheen, preventing him from seeing Mueller or their twin boys, Bob and Max, almost 2 years old.

After presenting possible evidence Mueller may have been using drugs very recently -- and alleging she still is -- Sheen told Radar: "I'll match her test for test -- I have nothing to hide. Brooke's gonna be doing a whole lot of

Zsa Zsa Gabor Rushed Back to the Hospital

Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to UCLA Medical Center because there is no blood flow in her left leg, her publicist confirmed to FOX on Tuesday. Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, called ambulances to their Beverly Hills home because the 94-year-old former actress was "having issues regarding the blood flow to her left leg." He later told reporters that she has another leg infection.

The Hungarian-American socialite and actress has been ailing since summer 2010. Her right leg was amputatedin January because of gangrene, and she was hospitalized last month for high fever, fluid in her lungs and an infection.
After suffering a bone-breaking fall on July 18, Gabor was hospitalized and eventually had a hip replacement.

Gabor has been known for decades for pioneering the act of being "famous merely for being famous," as she's often described. Her best-known role was in 1952's 'Moulin Rouge.'
