16-Year-Old Bride’s Mom On Daughter’s 51-Year-Old Husband: ‘He’s Not Creepy

 

16-year-old Courtney Stodden is happily married to her 51-year-old actor husbandDoug Hutchison, and while critics are slamming the marriage, her mother is speaking out in defense of her son-in-law.

“He’s not creepy,” Courtney’s mom Krista Stodden.  “He is such a great guy, he’s so intelligent.”

The pair has a 35-year age difference, and Krista said she understands why people don’t get their relationship, but explains that it works just fine for them.

“I see why they’re together, he looks like he’s in his early 30s, and Courtney looks like he’s in her late 20s,” she says.

And the protective mom warns that people who don’t know the couple shouldn’t criticize them. “Hold your judgment back, the goodness comes and overwhelms people who meet them.

“It’s like they’re talking about someone else when they say bad things about Doug,” Krista said. “He’s with my daughter and I wouldn’t want a creepy guy with my daughter.”

Meanwhile, she insists that Courtney has made a sound decision in becoming Doug’s teen bride. “He’s a wonderful, great man,” she says.

Stodden is a former beauty queen and aspiring actress and pop singer.

Hutchison is an actor best known for appearing on ABC’s Lost and for playing the abusive prison guard in the Oscar-nominated movie, The Green Mile, starring Tom Hanks.

The couple married this past May.

Sharon Stone has been ordered by a Los Angeles jury to pay $232,000 to a man who claimed he fell on the Basic Instinct star's property.

Peter Krause (not the actor) asserted that he dropped more than 15 ft into a ravine while doing work on Stone's estate and suffered major injuries.

The jury ultimately determined that Stone was negligent because her fence wasn't up to code, and strong enough to prevent the fall.

Krause says that in 2008, while he was installing outdoor wiring on her property, he fell down a "large concealed drop-off" onto a fence that then gave way, sending him tumbling into a neighbor's property. Krause says he has been unable to work since the accident.

Stone testified at the trial on Monday, and defended the safety of her property, and the jury was shown diagrams of the actresses backyard

She sure deserves a rest! Rihanna was spotted in Miami during a day off from her country-wide tour relaxing by the pool at the Setai Hotel with friends.

But the red hot popstar made it even better by bringing a bottle of tequila to the table!

All this fun can't last forever, as Rihanna has to get back to work and perform in Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow night, but we're sure RiRi is looking forward to hitting the stage again

Former G-Unit member Young Buck’s money problems continue after lawyers for 50 Cent filed an objection to Buck’s debt-repayment plan in Nashville court on Monday [July 11] according to the Wall Street Journal.

After filing for bankruptcy in August 2010, Buck has been trying to create a plan to repay his creditors over the next five years. However, lawyers for 50 Cent object, claiming the plan does not show how Young Buck will actually raise enough revenue to repay debts.

Lawyers for 50, born Curtis Jackson, say that Buck “had trouble identifying where he had been on tour, who had booked his travel, how he had even gotten from one place to another,” which concerns them because it doesn’t show that “any creditor can truly rely upon these claims and projections by the debtor,” according to the WSJ.

Buck is still under contract with G-Unit since signing in 2004. Initially, Buck claimed he’d reject the recording agreement, but according to 50 Cent’s lawyers, if Buck should do so, the damages that occur as a result of this rejection should also be taken into the bankruptcy proceedings, and that amount is “believed to be not less than $10,000,000,” Curtis Jackson’s lawyers wrote.

50 Cent and Young Buck famously had a public falling out, with 50 eventually leaking embarrassing phone conversations between the two, leading to Buck’s departure from G-Unit. —Martin Spasov
