Well, she just inked a deal with another celebrity who will endorse her water products. Latifah has signed Sacramento Kings guard, Tyreke Evans, to an endorsement deal to help spread the word about VBLAST! vitamin water and its sister product Aqua84.
"I enjoy VBLAST! and Aqua84 not only for their great taste and nutrients, but also because of the company's commitment to help developing countries drill wells for fresh drinking water," Evans said of the deal. "Giving back to those less fortunate is something I enjoy and do every day, so I am excited to be working with a company that does just that."
The 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year will be the first sports star to kick-off the company's national campaign showcasing the new packaging on products which will appear in 7-Eleven stores early this month.
According to Luke Zakka, Executive Vice President at New York Spring Water, Evans is preparing to begin filming his parts for upcoming commercials and will appear on billboard advertisements in key markets.
Having recently started his second season in the NBA, Evans is already making a name for himself as one of the most promising young players in the league. Selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Evans not only captured the title of 2010 Rookie of the Year, but also joined the ranks of LeBron James, Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan as one of only four players to average at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in their rookie season.
Originally hailing from Chester, Pennsylvania, Evans has made as significant an impact off the court as he has on, through his work with disadvantaged children in his hometown.
In related news, New York Spring Water announced details on their new partnership with Flavor Unit Entertainment and reported plans to expand globally.
