Official Wiz Khalifa Sunglass Sold Out

  


Only 500 pairs were available to the public at a price tag of $225 a pop. But, since their drop, they’ve nearly sold out, according to reports. However, more are on the way.
Wiz Khalifa made have created a smash with his “Black and Yellow” single, but he also knows his fashion … because his limited edition pairs of sunglasses, dubbed the Elevators, have nearly sold out. Eyetique, the Pittsburgh-based eyewear company Wiz teamed up with for the shades, is already planning a second run of “The Elevators” to meet customer demands.
“Thirty percent of sales are international,” Brad Childs, vice president of Eyetique, told DBusinessNews.com.
Obviously, a bulk of the sales came from Western Pennsylvania, the company said they received orders from all over the nation, including California, Alaska, Hawaii, and even Canada.
Norman Childs, president of Eyetique, collaborated with Wiz when he was working on his video for “Black and Yellow”. He created a few prototypes and the limited “Elevators” were born, inspired by the 70s and 80s aviator-style, and were released in either black or tortoise.
According to Childs, they created, a single Elevator frame with yellow temples and has a retail value of $10,000. However, it’s not for sale.
“We would like to keep that one for our collection,” said Childs.O
Aside from sunglasses, Wiz is currently prepping the release of his major label debut, Rolling Papers, set to drop March 29. The album features guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross and Curren$y.
